The Protea flower is the symbol of my business. It’s meaning is change, transformation and resourcefulness. These qualities encapsulate the power of coaching
I help professionals reach their potential through coaching. Increasing their confidence, to achieve work goals and promotions, or improve their work skills
Having the chance to help people is my passion. And I’ve now worked for over 20 years within human resources. I’ve seen the transformation coaching can generate. It knows we have the answers within our own resources. That we’ll find our own routes to make changes and create the right outcomes. In this way, coaching ensures these changes and transformation align with what’s important to us (our values) and that we’re motivated and committed to achieve the goals we set, feeling confident and empowered to make them happen.
Are you not sure where your priorities are at the moment? Do you know what you want to do but not how to get there? Are you feeling that you’re not working to your potential but don’t know what to do differently? Are you feeling a sense of overload? Or just want to take stock and set some goals?
Individual coaching enables you to identify exactly what your goals are, how, and when you will achieve them. You will feel empowered to achieve the goals that are important and right for you.. These goals can be in relation to work, career, personal life, or any other area of your life where you want to bring about change. As your coach I work with you to overcome any limiting beliefs, consider options and actions, ascertain your level of motivation and commitment, and challenge you as appropriate, to get the best outcome for you. Sessions always work with the clients agenda and can be carried out by phone, Skype or face to face.
The initial session is free of charge and from this we will agree a number of sessions – six is the usual and recommended number. Additional tasks may be set between sessions to support your progress. Contact me now to arrange your free session
Interview Preparation Coaching
An interview gives you a very small amount of time to show your abilities and demonstrate why you are the best applicant. Often people have not considered what they may be asked, how they might respond and how they can help themselves through preparation. Nerves and high stress levels can lead to a candidate presenting with reduced impact and not showing their true capability, with the result that they don’t receive the job they desire.
This programme provides the opportunity to address these issues
• Pre-coaching discussion call to establish your areas of concern enabling the session to be tailored to meet your needs
• Pre-coaching work which you are encouraged to complete to help you get the most from the coaching session
• A two hour dedicated 1-2-1 coaching workshop focusing on the different elements of effective interview preparation and techniques
You will leave the session feeling confident and prepared
including identifying the key messages you want to deliver, the questions you want to ask, plus how to present yourself most effectively. You will be given many hints and tips to make sure you don’t overlook the basics. With extensive experience gained through a career in HR, I offer insight and guidance.

The CPD Standards Office works across all sectors and is highly regarded for their work in driving Continual Professional Development (CPD). Anyone who is a member of a professional body or works in an area that is regulated eg Financial Conduct Authority or the Solicitors Regulation Authority) is likely to have to demonstrate that they have carried out CPD.
What is CPD?
CPD helps keep skills and knowledge up to date and ensures professional standards are maintained. Coaching is recognised as a valuable method of conducting CPD. It contributes in many ways including building confidence, provides tools to cope positively with change and contributes to a professional sense of direction.
As a prestigious worldwide organisation the CPD Standards Office carries out its coaching accreditation on an individual basis assessing a coach delivering programmes over time, as well as holding a professional qualification. I am a CPD Standards Office accredited coach which means you can be confident that you’ll be working with a professionally recognised coach and our hours will be certified and count as formal CPD hours for your log.
I am passionate about working with people to be the best they can be and achieve their potential. My background is over twenty years in Human Resources working in a range of roles and industries including property management, insurance, retail, public sector and not for profit organisations.
My experience and qualifications
I decided to set up my own business to pursue my love of coaching. Although I have many years’ experience I undertook additional qualifications, achieving Diplomas in Personal Performance Coaching and Corporate and Executive Coaching (with Distinction). The high standards of my coaching is recognised as a CPD Standards Accredited Coach.
I am also an NLP Practitioner and Coach, and a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development. My involvement in the CIPD extends to being branch chair for the Bournemouth, Poole and District Group. My commitment to my own ongoing skills and knowledge development was recognised by being awarded the CPD Coach of the Year award at the 2017 International Coaching Awards. An achievement of which I am extremely proud.
My own work goals and ambition
My own continued professional development is important to me as I work to further improve my skills and experience, as there is always more to learn and new ideas to make coaching even more effective. With my belief in the power of coaching I have my own coach to ensure I maintain this focus. Outside of my work, I am a keen tennis player and appreciate the wonderful area I live in with long walks along the coast path and countryside of Dorset and Hampshire. I can also occasionally be found relaxing at my beach hut!
Marion’s understanding of the corporate market and HR meant that she came with a huge amount of credibility at the outset and understood what I was talking about. I found Marion to be a huge source of support as I used our coaching sessions to help prepare for a new role. Her ability to ask thought-provoking questions meant that I was able to focus on what would be the most important areas. She also wasn’t afraid to challenge me on some of the themes I had been bringing up and gave me a ‘lightbulb’ moment on many occasions where I realised I could see things differently.
– Senior Manager, Insurance Group
Thoroughly enjoyed working with Marion, we covered a lot over the 3 days. Would definitely recommend the course!
– UK Academic
Did a 40 people speech, and another the next week. I’m enjoying it, can’t believe would ever say that
